Best Collaborative Teamwork Projects
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate GEODIS for winning DPT 2023's Best Collaborative Teamwork Projects Award!
GEODIS Singapore was awarded the Best Collaborative Teamwork Projects Award for the team's work in identifying the absence in the organization of an overall work process mapping from receiving the PO from customer till getting paid for our services (End-To-End (E2E) Process). Loopholes were found as a team and later they were filled with improvised working procedures for all related departments and personnels. Automation were also put in place to reduce redundant tasks and put human effort in much more useful areas.
At the end, procurement & all collaborating teams at all levels became more accountable and understanding to each other’s connected processes. The new to-be workflow with embedded automation is believed to ensure better compliance and due diligence, more transparency of each other’s work within their sub-processes, higher operational efficiency, less error in billing cycles and most importantly, would successfully reduce the DSO for Geodis in APAC.
Best Collaborative Teamwork Projects
DPT 2023 is proud to award Usha Bhujan of ICT Authority Mauritius with the Best Collaborative Teamwork Projects Award!
Usha was nominated for her work done as the Procurement and Logistics Officer on a consultancy contract, by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), a United Nations Agency, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). With much issues and conflicts, the project ended as per set deadline thanks to the dedicated collaboration of the team of people contacted and their involvement in making things happen in a humanitarian emergency context. The project became very successful despite a very unusual and difficult context.
Procurement Sustainability Award
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Canon Marketing (Malaysia) for winning DPT 2023's Procurement Sustainability Award!
This “Procurement Sustainability Award” was granted to Canon Malaysia for their Green Procurement approach. It was for the public statement and openly sharing about procuring and purchasing environment-friendly materials, parts, and products being prioritized. It was also for the “Global Canon Green Procurement Standards” and “Global Canon Green Procurement Guide”.
Chief Procurement Officer of the Year
DPT 2023 is proud to award Terence Lee, CPO of GEODIS with the Chief Procurement Officer of the Year!
Terence has played a major role as the transformational change agent in terms of procurement. He has started and stabilized motivated high-performing teams in different organizations from scratch and re-organized structures to support current and future organizational needs and relevancy to the market. He also brought new value to the table, creating strong collaborative partnership model with internal stakeholders and external supply partners.
Terence has also started working towards his goals by sharing of ideas and knowledge through keynote speaking engagements and panels. He also volunteered through different network forums, organizations and associations and communities.
Terence also offers advice through engagements with Government organizations, Board Advisory and Mentorship programs. Through these interactions, engagements and participations, he has contributed to the learning space by expanding the recognition of Procurement as a Profession.

DPT 2023 is proud to present Zul Haron with the Procurement Excellence Award!
Zul has played a major role in the organizational excellence in terms of procurement in PLUS Malaysia.
The Procurement Transformation commenced in 2019, aiming to secure the sustainability of the procurement division by tackling obstacles like Technology, Process Governance and People & Structure pre-2019. Many approaches were taken to tackle these issues. Some of the most challenging aspects were adoption of new technology, structure and process change and learning. However, these were all overcome and managed to reach the expected outcomes which helped in spend visibility, operational efficiency, good governance with harmonized processes, customer satisfaction, and satisfied internal & external stakeholders.
Zul believes that the first step to initiate a transformation exercise is to acknowledge the need for change. Parties involved must keep an open mind in recognizing gaps to be addressed, derived from a good benchmarking exercise, to obtain steer and support from the senior leadership. Transparency in the transformation’s objectives and desired results help to make internal and external stakeholders’ receptive.

Kobu has over 37 years of Procurement Leadership experience and understands the dynamics of the stakeholders and made procurement transformations to overcome challenges and deliver procurement value at each of the organizations that he worked with.
Kobu became a trusted advisor for his stakeholders to deliver on procurement promises via 1. Global strategic sourcing & Global Framework Agreement with global suppliers. 2. Risk sensing, risk hedging 3. Safety, Innovation, Productivity, and Quality improvement. 4. Developing structured SRM process and governance with strategic suppliers. 5. Stakeholder engagement, aligning procurement strategy with business needs and introducing cross-functional collaboration to reap the benefits of synergies amongst the stakeholders. 6. Developing procurement talents.
He constantly ensures improved procurement practices are put in place to create greater value for the stakeholders including in terms of SRM & GPA, Risk Sensing, Risk Hedging, C-suite Roundtable Meetings, Market Intelligence & Business Continuity and more.
Kobu is a strong believer in lifelong personal development. He acquired professional certifications such as FCIPS Chartered, CPSM, CPSD, C.P.M., PMP, Chartered Marketer, SRME, CCME, and recently ESG certification. In April 2014, Kobu was the 1st person in South East Asia to be awarded both SRME and CCME by World Commerce & Contracting.

of the Year
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Sarawak Energy for winning DPT 2023's CPO Brand Award of the Year!
Sarawak Energy was awarded the CPO Brand Award of the Year for their initiative and SEPRO (Sarawak Energy e-Procurement) movement. SEPRO is Sarawak Energy's new e-procurement solution powered by SAP Ariba that provides cloud-based procurement, spend management and supply chain services that enable vendors and buyers to connect and do business globally. Sarawak Energy also has open e-tenders where bidding and tenders for projects can be done online. Their products lists and application guidelines are also listed. Their transparency and digitalization of procurement has earned them the CPO Brand Award of the Year!
